What does one need after all that traveling and vacation? Well more vacation obviously! We got back from the Bahamas and drove from Miami through the Florida Keys all the way to Key West. It was a bit cold so we didn’t ge to snorkel much, but we saw some cool animals, met some cool people and drank like fishes.

Driving the 1 was a pretty beautiful thing esp with a convertible. Gonna have to get that RV for the next trip though.

We snuck into Land Voldemort from Nassau for new years. It was pretty amazing.

We originally planned on a 2 week long RV road trip through the Florida Keys. But the whole RV thing didn’t quite work out. So last minute, we changed our trip completely. We decided to save the keys till the end of the trip and went from Florida directly to the Bahamas. We had a different kind of white Christmas with all those white sandy beaches and Junkanoo.

and Mickey Mouse pancakes. But we all know Mickey isn’t as cool as Star Wars.

So I surprised her by taking her to my friend Steve’s house in the afternoon. Steve is not only a friend and coworker, but he’s a great artist and he even does tattoos.

So ya, we now having matching doop tattoos. Team DOOP forever!

One plant out front grew almost 15 feet tall all by itself. We never watered it or did anything. It just grew and grew. It even grew through our balcony/deck. And I was afraid it was going to mess with the foundation. So I decided to chop it down this weekend. It had to go.

While getting ready to start playing lumbar jack, I discovered we had more than just a tree to deal with. There was a hummingbird nest in the tree. And not just one, we had two humming bird nests hidden in our tree.

I didn’t want to disturb these nests. But the tree had to go. So after some finagling, I was able to chop the tree down but keep the nests in place and unharmed. The branches they are attached to grew through the deck planks and now are suspended in mid air below the deck. Our hummingbird neighbors now have a very original tree house.
